There is not a single Arab or Muslim except that he chanced, at least once, in his life with the statement “Had the Arab rulers not been traitors, Israel would never have been established”. That’s a statement that has been deduced by the people for 10s of years, may it be said in relation to the peace treaty with Israel, or in relation to political or economical or diplomatic relations with it, or succumbing to its threats, or in order to please it or complying with it or… or… or… reasoning, this time, came in the most matured form than any in the past with the enlivening of the 63rd anniversary of the (Nakhba) atrocity, for the first time, as an Arab issue and not a Palestinian one, meaning that having relations with Israel and complying with it, in secret or open or pleasing it, and the official Arab alert concerning the condition of “Peace and stability” is for Israel’s sake, whatever be the price, and these are pointers that have never been mistaken, at any point of time, by the eye of either an illiterate or a literate in spite of the disguise, denial or justifications made behind it.

These relations or pointers have mostly been tolerated or initiated by the Arab countries, classed by the west as moderate or by the east as backward, according to the contexts of the second half of the 20th century. And in spite of that these countries until this moment have been incapable of seeking help of Israel or declare openly that any alteration in its peace or stability will harm the security of Israel, as was done by the countries classed by the --- íĘČÚ

Hijazi Comments on New AFPAK Strategy

Scott Sanford
August 16th, 2009

On 28 July 2009 the popular jihadi blogger Akram Hijazi initiated a series of articles under the title, “The Power of God in the Great Empires.” He titled the first installment “The American Strategy in Afghanistan,” the second “Dismembering the Strategy,” the third “Strategic Crisis and NATO’s Humiliations,” and the fourth, which is the last and not yet published, “The Realities of the Taliban’s War.”

In the first article, Hijazi questions if there ever really was an American strategy in Afghanistan and he asserts that observers will have to wait and see how the new strategy will play out given Afghanistan’s history as the “Graveyard of Empires.” However, his tone is not optimistic. He then continues to describe the evolution of the US Afghanistan strategy by quoting from US public officials and Western media. The strategy he describes is basic counterinsurgency, increased troop levels, and eliminating safe havens in Pakistan.

Hijazi’s second article starts by stating that the old strategy was to destroy al-Qaida and the Taliban, but instead they have become stronger. He claims that the strategic logic for the US is “killing and destruction, nothing else. This is barbarism, not strategy…. This barbaric logic is what the US and its allies have implemented, through targeting civilians, in frantic attempts to eliminate al-Qaida and the Taliban from [their] popular embrace.” Hijazi continues that after seven years of failure the US decided to change its strategy from killing civilians to protecting them in addition to helping --- íĘČÚ

The Ansar and “the Journey of Truth”

2- The Value

By Akram Hijazi

To place “The Journey” in its correct dimension, is something that requires a lot of effort directed towards unraveling it on terms of methodology with a great amount of accuracy so that its real value is revealed. As for why we are doing it, then it is for the simple fact that we see “The Journey” not a media effort or a historical or narrative relation. Nor is it simply a reality without a thesis in certain specific currents and decisive for its people, so unraveling it means making an effort to make its ******* compatible to the largest level of objectivity and at the same time placing it in what we think is its natural dimension and an attempt to find out what are the matters hidden behind it.

There is no doubt that the impact of the attack on the Jihadi project in Iraq can be examined very easily in the framework of the advancement of Al Qaeda and Taleban on the Afghani front. That’s why Ansar kept away from everything that spoils the pureness of this reality to make it the only theme in “The Journey” and nothing other than it. For “The Journey” segregated at the Head of War concerning the Jihadi project, like it segregated concerning its tools, mentioning it by the names. As for “the occupation is the solution and not the problem”, then this thesis is the reason for the affliction especially because there are Ahl As Sunnah in particular who have accepted it and on this basis the awakening squads and fronts and gangs were set up. It is very clear that Ansar wanted to stress on the central point of “the wa --- íĘČÚ

The Ansar and “the Journey of Truth”

By Dr. Akram Hijazi

Since the release of the “Journey of truth” by the Ansar Al Islam (14/7/2008) I found myself forced to review the flow of the Jihadi project in Iraq and return again to read the history of the group and revise its written statements and video releases, especially the decisive one that was released about its set up on (7/12/2007) under the title “History and Steadfastness”.

While going through the events it became evident that what “The Journey” contained was largely based on what was apparent to the reviewers for the past two years and within, and did not require a great deal of insight to be concluded at by the followers of the events. In spite of that, we have, for the first time, a very precious witness, which requires analysis before we talk about their values.

1- Witness

There is no doubt that the time of the release of “Journey” has a significant importance, for it has been released after the storm events that the Iraqi Jihad project is undergoing in Iraq. It is true that the “Journey” relates the events since its very beginning and until the time of its release, but it is necessary to take notice of the events of the fourth and fifth phase, especially, which start with the year 2008, for “the Journey” provides a witness of a phase that is marked by:

-	A noticeable advance on the Afghani and Somali front as compared to a step back on the Iraqi front in contrast to what was before the release of the statement of Jaish AL Islami (5/4/2007).

-	The release of reviews that targeted jihad as an obligation and --- íĘČÚ
